A dramatic sky of clouds above Mare Fen, a big ball of sun glistens on the water in the flood-plain below. Photograph from Richard Heeps series 36 Minutes in Cambridgeshire.
This is a photograph from a collection of 36, born from an idea to produce a set of photographs that followed The Meridian Line and its route through Cambridgeshire, one for each minute of Latitude. The images would go through, over and under whatever came in the path of the camera’s lens and through the Fens would involve people and communities throughout Cambridgeshire, many in isolated locations.
