This Roadside Giant is called 'Poor Richard', ironic really considering the artists' name, and the sad state of his broken off head and lonely torso. Poor Richard refers to the Almanack published by Benjamin Franklin between 1732-1758, which was popular for its extensive use of wordplay and some of the witty phrases coined in the contemporary American vernacular. This broken bearded cowboy is an iconic Muffler Man.
The artwork is a limited edition gloss photographic print from negative. When framed the print is dry-mounted to aluminium, presented in a museum board white window mount and a choice of black or white box frame handmade professionally in the UK. It is signed and numbered on reverse accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Handmade to order.
Please Note : Viewing on a backlit screen might affect true to life colours. Due to the handmade nature of Richard's darkroom photography there can be slight variations in image and borders, sizes stated are a close approximation.
