Blue Flora Celtica, 1990 – 2002
The principal concern of Alexander's work is to change people's relationship with what they see, to create work that encourages the viewer to re-negotiate their position in relation to their environment. The visual work produced as a result of his research provides an accessible way in which to engage with the changing ecology of the world, both for himself, as artist, and the viewer; it will encourage audiences to, not only consider, but to monitor and strive to protect, their local and national environment.
